Delhi To Jodhpur Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
Army and air force postings, AIIMS and IIT students, and handicraft exporters make Jodhpur a regular destination.
Expect about 600 km on the road and 3–4 days from pickup to delivery. It is a short enough haul that the day you book matters more than the quote you pick. The route normally follows NH48 to Jaipur, then Ajmer and on towards Jodhpur.
| Road distance | About 600 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 3–4 days |
| Express transit | 1–2 days |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹3,400 onwards |
| Pickup | Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Jodhpur and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
Summer heat and sandstorms in May and June can slow driving, and the Ajmer–Jodhpur stretch is narrow in places.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Jodhpur. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from Delhi proper is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
How to Ship my Bike! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Delhi To Jodhpur
People usually ask which method is best, and the honest answer depends on distance, the bike, and how much you want to handle yourself.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
This is the usual choice. The bike is packed at your door, travels in a closed vehicle and is brought to your Jodhpur address. Budget ₹3,400 to ₹4,650 for a commuter bike and 3–4 days of transit, and keep your phone on during the trip. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
Indian Railways does carry two-wheelers as parcel. You book at the parcel office, the bike is packed (the tank must be nearly empty), and it travels station to station. You then collect it from Jodhpur yourself, and get it home. At 600 km the saving over a carrier is small and the handling is rougher. Our train vs truck comparison goes through it in detail.
3. Ride it yourself
About 600 km takes 2 days on a bike. Fuel at roughly 45 km a litre and ₹95 a litre comes to about ₹1,250. Two-wheelers are exempt from toll, which helps. You also have to get yourself back home or onward after riding one way, which people forget while comparing prices.

If you have time and a healthy bike, riding is cheapest. If you are travelling with luggage, family or on a train, the carrier is the easier option. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Delhi To Jodhpur Bike Transport Costs: What You’re Really Paying For
No one should pay for a Delhi to Jodhpur bike move without seeing the full breakup, so here it is.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹3,100 – ₹4,100 | 3–4 days |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹3,400 – ₹4,650 | 3–4 days |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹4,050 – ₹5,700 | 3–4 days |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹6,450 – ₹9,000 | 3–4 days |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹4,000)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Delhi to Jodhpur) | ₹2,300 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹350 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹600 |
| Total | ₹4,000 |
What can push the price up or down
- Transit insurance: optional cover at 2.5% of what you declare, never below ₹300. Declare ₹1,20,000 and it comes to about ₹3,000 plus GST.
- Express delivery: costs roughly a quarter more on the transport charge and cuts the trip to 1–2 days.
- Premium wrap: adds about ₹900 for extra padding and a crate-style frame, worth it for a new or high-value bike.
- Difficult access: if the truck cannot reach your gate, a smaller vehicle for the last stretch may cost extra. Tell us the address up front.
- Waiting time: if the driver is kept waiting at pickup or delivery for hours, waiting charges can apply. Ask the policy before you book.
The price rises with distance, but not in a straight line. The first few hundred kilometres cost more per km than the rest, because loading, packing and paperwork are fixed. The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Delhi
Before any money moves for a Delhi to Jodhpur booking, go through these points. They apply to every company, including us.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Jodhpur delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask if the bike stays on one vehicle. Over 600 km, a transfer at a hub is where most damage and delay happen.
- Keep the advance small. A booking amount is normal. Anyone who wants the full payment before the bike has even been picked up deserves suspicion.
- Get a driver or coordinator number. You should be able to reach a real person while the bike is moving.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Verify who you are paying. A genuine company will give you a GST number, a registered address and an office phone. Check them, and read the Google reviews.
- Read the insurance. Ask for the policy copy, what is covered (theft, accident, damage in loading), the excess, and who to call after a problem.
- Plan the Jodhpur delivery. The old Blue City lanes cannot take a truck, so we use the nearest wide road.
Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Delhi to Jodhpur (And When NOC Matters)
Crew at pickup will ask for a short set of documents. Registration in Rajasthan is a separate job that you do after the bike arrives.
- RC book or smart card: hand over a photocopy and keep the original yourself.
- Authorisation letter: if someone other than the owner hands over or receives the bike, with their ID.
- Loan papers: if the RC shows hypothecation, carry the lender's consent letter for the move.
- Valid insurance: a copy of the bike's current policy.
- Contact details: a phone number and landmark for both Delhi and Jodhpur.
- ID proof: Aadhaar, driving licence or passport of the owner.
When NOC matters
You do not need an NOC to put a bike on a carrier. You need it when the bike has to be registered in Rajasthan. A registration from another state is valid for twelve months under the Motor Vehicles Act, and then a new number must be taken. The NOC comes from the Delhi transport office, and if a loan is running, the bank has to release its hold first.
Jodhpur uses the RJ-19 series; your Delhi NOC and an address proof are needed.
Keep two things in mind. A BH (Bharat) series plate does not need re-registration after a state change, if you are eligible for one. And rules for older vehicles in Delhi–NCR have shifted over the years, so confirm the current position for your bike's age before you book. Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Delhi to Jodhpur: Pickup To Delivery
Most bookings follow these seven steps. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Ask for a quote. Fill the form at the top of this page or call +91 96713 11891. Share the bike model, pickup area and the Jodhpur address.
- Confirm the booking. Check the days and the price, then pay the booking amount. Keep the receipt; you will need it at delivery.
- Get the bike ready. Leave about a litre of petrol, take off bags and phone mounts, and wash it so existing marks are clear. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule.
- Handover in Noida Sector 62 or nearby. The crew walks around the bike with you, notes every mark, ties it down and hands you the condition sheet.
- On the road. The carrier follows NH48 to Jaipur. Ask for a call at the main halts; that is normal on a 600 km run.
- Fix the delivery time. If you are in Shastri Nagar or Ratanada, tell the driver the society name and gate number, and who will be there.
- Inspect and close. Match the bike to the pickup photos, start it, and note any damage on the paper before you sign and pay.
In Jodhpur we usually deliver to Shastri Nagar, Ratanada, Paota, Basni, Sardarpura and Chopasni Road. The old Blue City lanes cannot take a truck, so we use the nearest wide road.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Shipping Route (And How You Avoid Them)
- Forgetting the second key. Hand over only one, and keep the other with you.
- Booking too late. Last-minute bookings get whatever vehicle is free, often at a higher rate. Book three to five days ahead on this route.
- Not checking who signs. Whoever signs at delivery accepts the bike as is, so have the right person there.
- A mistake specific to Jodhpur. Moving in peak summer without ensuring the bike is kept covered. Heat on the carrier roof can fade seat covers, so ask for a covered body.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include Shastri Nagar, Ratanada, Paota, Basni, Sardarpura and Chopasni Road. The old Blue City lanes cannot take a truck, so we use the nearest wide road.
